Abstract. Millah N, Leksono AS, Yanuwiadi B. 2023. Butterfly (Lepidoptera: Papilionoidae) diversity and structure community in Lumajang, East Java, Indonesia. Nusantara Bioscience 15: 118-128. Lumajang is one of the district Indonesia with an area around 1,790.90 km2 various ecosystems. Unfortunately, several ecosystems have been degraded, affecting biodiversity, especially butterflies. The aim this study was to analyze butterfly communities species as bioindicators. conducted 5 habitats: Village, Agriculture, City Park, Community Forest, Conservation Forest. sampling method Active Visual Survey using Transect Pollard Walk; environmental factors were also measured during (temperature, humidity, light intensity, wind velocity, altitude). measurement analyzed for correlation Principal Component Analysis (PCA). results consisted 124 species. Several endemic (Cyrestis lutea (Zincken, 1831), Ypthima nigricans (Snellen, 1892), Parantica albata Mycalesis sudra (Felder, 1867), Pachliopta adamas 1831)), then protected (Troides helena (Linnaeus, 1758), Troides cuneifera (Oberthür, 1879), amphrysus (Cramer, 1779)). Shannon-Wienner index values from highest lowest are Forest (3.52), (3.32), Park (2.98), Village (2.79), Agriculture (2.29). can be used basic data expected support conservation strategies Indonesia,
